KHP Trooper Major Brent Hogelin Family Support
It is with profound sadness that the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) and Kansas State Troopers Association mourn the passing of Major Brent Hogelin, who died unexpectedly on October 27, 2026, while off duty. Major Hogelin dedicated 27 years of service to KHP as a State Trooper. His passing is a tremendous loss to the Patrol and the law enforcement community. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and all who served alongside him during his distinguished career.

The Kansas Troopers Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization that has the privilege of assisting In helping our local communities and fellow officers. The KSTA formed the foundation so they could help in a variety of ways by giving donations to help kids, injured officers and families of officers who have been killed in the line of duty.
